UNIT 4***Portraiture***

After a huge gap in my learning experience (family circumstances) I'm happy to be back to learn all about Professional Photography in NYIP. Unit 4 has it challenges but It's so much fun to do!  My shiny brand new Nikon D7100 will help me to have even more fun. This DSLR is so much faster and cooler than my Nikon D3100:) I'm still using my 1.8g 50 mm lens (this it truly the most affordable GREAT prime lens), however my "light" (Nikon Sb-400 speedlight) got upgraded to 2 Altura Manual flashes (cheap like $36 each) and I'm expecting to get Altura i-TTL dedicated speedlight ($70-$80) in place of my Nikon sb-400 that i recently sold on eBay. My Altura flashes are very decent. The reason I sold Sb-400 is that it has NO slave mode (what?)! In studio portraiture you need either continuous lightning or strobe (aka flashes). to complete Unit 4 assignment I need at least one light source (in this case it's advisable to use a reflector board) but I'm planning on two flashes or more. So I got flashes and stands w/umbrellas. And I also got a backdrops to make it look nice.

For now, I've done photo #1 Available light from window w/ reflector board. Head & shoulders portrait.
There also needed: (2)Head & shoulders portrait in studio light.
(2)3/4 or full length outdoor portrait.
(3)Locational portrait indoors
(4) Pet or Child-optional
(5) Group of people -optional.
