Unit 1 only took me about a week to complete (maybe even less). I mean the theory part. I passed test and now I'm working on my project.
I need photographs to demonstrate skills: slow/fast shutter speed, wide aperture (bokeh) and great (shallow) dept of field.
Also I have ordered new lens Nikon 50mm f/1.8G AF-S NIKKOR FX (they should go as 75mm on my Nikon D3100 because it's crop sensor DX)
as well as Zeikos macro filters 52mm +1,+2,+4,+10 close up, some 6-point star filter 58mm (for new lens), adapter from 58 to 52 mm (so I can fit my macro filters to my new prime lenses), 66" Targus tripod (should be enough for now, will see if I decide to buy professional one later). One of my instructors said it's better to buy one expensive pro tripod made out of carbon for a few hundred $$$ than to change a cheap one every now and then. He also mentioned that one good tripod will last many, many years. But I think I need to try out inexpensive tripod first and see if I have a good use of it. Moreover, I got one very genius thing called Zeikos lens cap keeper that will save my nerves:) I'm loosing my lens cap every time I use my Nikon:)))
All things I bought are not a mandatory for the course! Even DSLR camera is not a mandatory but preferable :))
